Halfway there

Never before has the time of my birth mattered to me. My mother is here visiting me. I made sure to ask what time I was born so as of the moment I am writing this, I am still 39. At 11:26 am, I will reach the milestone of 40. [...]

Barbarian Muslims

If you still believe that fundamentalist Muslims are on equal moral standing with the West, I encourage you to read this story about a very brave and wise 10 year old girl named Nujood Ali who was married off to a man three times her age from Yemen who raped and beat her. She [...]

Drill!

Market up, oil down so far today. Right after Bush lifted the moratorium on drilling, the price of a barrel of oil dropped $10 immediately. Democrats are dense if they don’t see that we should not wait any longer. Look at me being Captain Obvious. This will be Obama’s achilles heel.

African Lion on the loose in Colorado Springs

Fox News is reporting that an African Lion is running loose in Colorado Springs. Apparently it was seen chasing a dog.  How in the world does that happen?   Did anyone notice their lion was missing?  It’s not like you can buy them at the pet store.

Senator (and I use that term loosely) Obama still hasn’t figured out who we are currently fighting [...]

Is the end near for the FARC?

My wife has been telling me for several years that the situation in Colombia is improving under President Uribe. The FARC has been pushed out to the remote areas of the jungle, even into neighboring Venezuela and Ecuador who are sympathetic to their narco-terrorist ways. Colombia has recently captured or killed many FARC [...]

RIP Tony Snow

I will miss Tony Snow.  His disarming charm, wit, and grace captivated everybody.  He has to be the most likable White House Press Secretary in recent memory.   He was also quite an intelligent guy and you always paid attention when he spoke.

Back again

Once again, I was away on vacation visiting my family in NH last week. My wife and kids are in NJ visiting my in-laws so I am single this week. Ahhhhhhh peace and quiet. Sometimes it’s nice to have the entire place to myself.
We took a tour of Fenway Park. [...]
