Friday was definitely a miserable day. Kudos too you folks that stood in the rain. I'll keep and eye on your site to find out about the next tea party.

Great job! I live in Northern Alabama and I am trying to find people who are organizing protests. I really wish we could aim for 1 million or more to march on Washington DC in the near future. I am so afraid of the way the country has headed in just the short amount of time OBama has been in the White House. I am even more mad that all the Republicans haven't realized to get control of Congress they have to show they are not wasteful spenders of our money.

Julie, I'm so glad that you went! I'm sure the Atlanta Tea Party was probably a lot more fun and hopefully drier.

Don, we protested for people like you who defended our nation and we protested for our children who will bear the burden of this error.

Well Dandy, since you are going to respond like an arrogant, ignorant simpleton, allow me to educate you. The original Boston Tea Party was led by the Sons of Liberty to protest taxation without representation. There were just a few participants and at the time that it happened, idiots like you probably said the same thing and laughed about their protesting something that was not going to change. However, it was the beginning of the very movement that led to the freedom you now enjoy (or take for granted). I suppose you probably wish that our forefathers had just laid down and accepted their oppression instead of being so foolish.

Our government is going to bankrupt our country. Congress passed the largest spending bill in the history of the world without even reading it. They just spent more money in one day than Iraq, Afghanistan and Katrina combined. If that is not a good enough reason to stand up and protest, then nothing is.

A ^5 to you and all the other patriots all across the country who took part in Tea Parties, but especially everyone who braved inclement weather as you did in order to express your concern.

I saw your pics at MM! And your emai! Great job!!! I went to the Atlanta Tea Party. It was a super busy (hectic) week for me at work and I didn't know if I would be able to participate at all so I didn't follow up with the Shelby County plans. I'm so glad you were there to capture it and wish I had "stayed home". Way to go!
