The end of Tom Cruise

The new Tom Cruise movie opens Christmas Day called Valkyrie. I am rooting for his complete and utter failure. I no longer go to any Tom Cruise movie. He is a nut job with way too much influence. He does not deserve any of the success and adulation he receives. Plus he has ruined Katie Holmes. It’s time to bring that alien inside of him back down to Earth. I never thought he was a good actor anyways. He plays the same character in every movie which is essentially the whiny kid from Risky Business. He has been very fortunate to have been in exciting movies that don’t need great acting such as War of the Worlds and Mission Impossible.

  1. I agree his involvement with Scientology is very strange but I do think at heart Tom Cruise is a nice person who means well and I like a lot of his earlier films…A Few Good Men, Jerry McGuire, Rainman, etc.  I’ll probably wait until this movie comes out on DVD to watch it.

  2. Tom is probably one of those people that women “get” but guys don’t.  I never saw the appeal.  I have always liked most of his movies despite him. I think you could have put anybody in his role and the movie would have been just as good.  He always has great supporting casts and scripts.

  3. I agree.  He’s a snotty, arrogant and ignorant individual.  I got curious the other day about Scientology when all the news was reporting about the death of Jett Travolta.  I had heard that John Travolta was a scientologist but I’ve never really heard him talk about it.  Then Tom Cruise pipes up and puts his 2 cents in about it.  So I decided to google L.Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology.  I went to the Wikipedia link (I love Wiki)  Good Lord!  After reading that entire entry, I came to the conclusion that that man was a certifiable nut case! See for yourself…just read it.

What I don’t understand is how anyone that seems to be fairly intelligent could possible be a part of that wacko cult.

What really sucks….is that I really like John Travolta!!
I also want to say how sorry I am to hear about his son’s death.  It’s a parents worst nightmare for sure.  God bless their family and comfort them in their grief.

  4. Scott, you should see Tropic Thander! I didn’t realize Tom was in it until it was over and my son told me he was the bald, fat guy uttering every profanity known to man! It’s advertised as a comedy but Ben Stiller wrote it and it is not funny! Maybe to the people in it, but what a stink-bomb! I heard him saying they wanted to do a sequeal to it! Beware!

Hubbard was nuts and so are the people who believe as he did! Talk about science fiction!

  6. Well that’s disappointing.  I thought it looked hysterical.  It’s got a pretty good cast.  Funny how they don’t advertise that Tom Cruise is in it.  He’s like a poison pill now.
