Well this is disappointing

Governor Palin’s eldest daughter is pregnant. Sigh. That can’t really be helpful to McCain’s chances. I’m sure the Palins did everything they could to teach their daughter that getting pregnant at 17 would be a poor decision but she did it anyways. This sure makes me worry about my own kids. I just had “the talk” with my son 2 weeks ago. I explained to him that nobody “accidently” gets pregnant. Everyone knows how it happens. He might as well play Russian roulette instead. I’m doing everything I can to arm them with the information they need to make wise decisions. I sure hope I’m doing enough.

On the other hand, the liberals may gloat but in this situation, the Palins are doing the right thing. The liberals probably think this is what abortion is for, getting rid of an “accident”, eliminating an inconvenient responsibility. It is truly “family values” to take responsibility for the unborn.

  1. Sen. Obama is officially taking the high road, declaring family-trashing to be off-limits.
Fortunately for Bristol Palin, that well-behaved legion of thoughtful citizens at DailyKos are going to fall in line and will in no way write shameful things about her.

  2. Kos taking the high road is surprising but if you read all the comments at that post, it’s a little more as one would expect.
