TOPAZI, EUGENE J., SR., age 78, died Sunday, September 14, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Maxine; son, Joey Topazi; daughters, Julie Green and Becky (Bob) Evans; one brother, Gerald S. (Patsy) Topazi; grandchildren, Katie Topazi, Gena (Nate) Mueller, Wendy Rudder and Trey Davis; great grandchildren, Madelyn Bullock, Grayson Mitchell and Maleigh Rudder; nephews, Stephen (Stacey) Topazi, Patrick (Melissa) Topazi and niece, Trisha ((Braxton) Humphries. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Josephine Topazi. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Dominican Monastery of St. Jude, P.O. Box 170. Marbury, Al 36051. The visitation will be Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Our Lady of The Valley Church from 5 until 7 P.M. with a Wake Service at 7 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday September 17, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of The Valley Church with Monsignor Paul Rohling as celebrant. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, with Ridout’s Trussville Chapel directing.
