If you still believe that fundamentalist Muslims are on equal moral standing with the West, I encourage you to read this story about a very brave and wise 10 year old girl named Nujood Ali who was married off to a man three times her age from Yemen who raped and beat her. She had the presence of mind to escape and demand a divorce from a judge. Instead of being punished, the husband/rapist was actually compensated under Sharia Law by Nujood. It cost her $200 for her freedom.
This is not an isolated event. Women are treated like garbage in these countries and we stand by and say nothing. These are the people who are allowed to kill their daughters and wives if they are “dishonored”. Don’t forget the female circumcision. This is a brutal and disgusting culture. The madrasas in our own country funded by the wahabis in Saudi Arabia are teaching our children when it is ok to kill an infidel. When are we going to stop tolerating this crap?
