I just don’t get it. How do the Barbara Boxers of the world get elected and then continually re-elected? In defense of the global warming cap and trade bill which will cost taxpayers $6 TRILLION, she said,
Why do this [the Lieberman-Warner bill] now? We’re in a recession. Precisely because we’re in a recession is why we should be doing this. This bill is the first thing that brings us hope
The cure for a recession is apparently “hope” and making energy costs skyrocket. Tax the poor, help the economy. These wacky liberals think they can now sell anything with “hope” and “change” and maybe they can. It seems you can fool most of the people all of the time.
Luckily W has come to his senses and will veto this ridiculous albatross. Oh and by the way, we’re not in a recession which is the measure of two consecutive quarters of decline in gross domestic product. This has not occurred but we’re being sold this hogwash by the MSM because it’s an election year and the worse the economy is, the better democrats will fare.
