The third term of George W. Bush
or,
the second term of Jimmy Carter?
Obama wants you to think “The Maverick” is George W. Bush wearing an old man costume. He thinks he’s very clever and saying McCain will be Bush’s third term every 12 seconds. It’s a tired tactic of revisionist history that Democrats use. If they screech something loud and often enough, people will believe it’s true. Each and everytime he brings that up, McCain should just refer to him as, “Jimmy Carter”. As in, “I don’t know why Jimmy Hussein Carter keeps comparing me to Bush. I’m not called ‘The Maverick’ for nothing.”
McCain really needs to push this Maverick concept. That’s really what people like about him. I’d wear a Maverick t-shirt, but maybe the Dallas Mavericks would object.
