Bobby Jindal on McCain’s Short List

Shepard Smith just announced that there are strong rumors that McCain is seriously considering Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal as VP choice. Now that would excite me and would probably excite much of the conservative base. Shep just interviewed Jindal who of course would not answer direct questions about whether he would accept the position. He gave the standard answer of “I don’t think he’ll ask, but I’m honored to be considered.” But he did say that you don’t turn down the pretty girl for the prom before she asks. That’s not to say that you would mistake John McCain for a cheerleader.

  1. Yuval Levin at The Corner makes a pretty good case for Jindal. I was of the opinion he was too young and inexperienced but Levin, while not endorsing Jindal, argues that maybe he’s not. Here’s the link
Well maybe you’ll get the link. I’m trying HTML and since you have no preview, I have no earthly idea if it will work! If it doesn’t, it’s back to Tiny URL! :)

  3. The biggest problem for Jindal is that he is a rising star in the party and could easily ruin his young career if McCain loses.
