Huckabee supporters issued an “open letter” to John McCain warning him that he will lose social conservatives if he picks Romney as a running mate. Of course Huckabee denies involvement. Just when the GOP and McCain need unity when the Dems are falling apart, the Huckster has to go pull this crap. Overall Romney is more conservative than Huckabee. Are we supposed to believe that Huckabee will actually campaign against McCain if Romney is the VP over himself? Romney pulled a class act by getting out of the race early to back McCain while Huckabee stayed in to feed his ego and be annoying. I think Huckabee realizes that staying in the race did not improve his position for VP and he is now going to take his ball and go home if he can’t have his way. Wah!
