Dem debate

I didn’t watch the debate last night mostly because I won’t be voting for either candidate, but also I was busy over at MVRWC participating in the weekly American Idol Heckle Fest. However this one quote from last night says it all. When asked whether they would respond forcefully if Iran obtained nuclear weapons,

“An attack on Israel would incur massive retaliation by the United States,” said Clinton.

Obama said, “The U.S. would take appropriate action.”

What both candidates are really saying is they will do nothing to prevent Iran from obtaining such weapons. Clinton will at least respond with force if such weapons are used. Obama of course gives the most vague, pathetic, and non-committal answer possible. You’d like to think his answer means that he is not going to show the world his hand and leave all options on the table, but in reality it means he has absolutely no idea what he’ll do and even if he did, he wouldn’t share it because it would probably involve puppies and rainbows. Israelis should be very afraid of Obama.

  1. “Israelis should be very afraid of Obama”. And the rest of us should be too.

  3. I may have asked this before: why does my name automatically appear in the space for my email address when I start to post a comment, and can that be corrected? My comment fails to post if I don’t delete my name and type in my email address.

  4. You’ll never catch me alive!

BTW, same thing happens to me, re: name showing up in email bar. I guess it’s just one of those Internet things Al Gore didn’t get worked out. Kinda like Tiny URL. :)

  5. Ok, two people can’t be a coincidence. I tested it and I see what you’re saying. I wanted to find a better comment plugin. Thanks for letting me know and for putting up with it.

  7. I tend to think when something like that happens it’s something I’m doing (it usually is).  :)
