Red Sox win season opener

The Red Sox are in first place and are undefeated in the 2008 season.  They beat the Oakland A’s 6-4 in Japan this morning.  They made a big mistake walking Big Papi to get to Manny.   Manny missed a 3 run homerun by about a foot, but instead drove in the two winning runs.

GO SOX!

  1. Back when I was growing up I believe it was Tom Yawkey who owned the Red Sox. He also owned an old plantation down in South Carolina, as well as a house of prostitution named Sunset Lodge near Georgetown, SC on what I seem to recall was US Highway #1. This was in the days before the Interstate system was completed.

  2. Ah the good ol’ days. I’m sure you only know of this by legend and not experience. Wasn’t it called Spitzer Lodge?

  3. Actually, I drove a buddy up there from Charleston AFB, but while he was upstairs I just sat around the lounge and enjoyed a couple of free drinks of very fine Scotch.

I’m curious as to why my name appears in the Email box rather than my email address when I post a comment, and I have to change it. This is the only blog than happens on.
