It’s a glorious day in Kosovo. Kosovo declared their freedom from Serbia. People are dancing in the streets celebrating. Although I hate to do it, let’s give Bill Clinton some credit since this probably would not have been possible if he hadn’t stood up to Slobodan Milosevic.
Pootie-poot Putin is crying in his borscht. How dare those Kosovars want freedom! Putin’s actual argument is that support for its unilateral declaration of independence is “immoral” and “illegal.” Putin is acting like a deranged lunatic. The Russian people have no idea that he is slowly eroding their freedoms. Putin’s dreams of restoring the Soviet Union don’t seem to be working out so well though.
I wish we could all learn a lesson from the former Soviet eastern block countries that appreciate and embrace their freedom. Sadly I think we all take ours for granted. It makes me sick when I hear people praising Putin, Castro, and Chavez. Some say it’s so much better in those countries yet I never hear of them having any immigration problems with U.S. citizens, or any other nation’s citizens for that matter, fleeing their country to get there.
