I’m sick

I’ve been sick since Saturday. My son had baseball practice at 9 am and it was freezing out. We weren’t even the first scheduled practice of the day! Soon after, I had the flu. “Experts” say that being cold does not make you sick, but experience has taught us all for years that if we don’t bundle up, something bad will happen. I haven’t had the flu in years so I have been going with my every-other-year theory on getting a flu shot. Of course this is an off year.

I have been fighting this with every drug they sell at Walgreens. I think it might be working. At least I’m masking most of the symptoms. Of course the boy has baseball practice again tonight and I saw snow flurries on the way to work this morning. I have a feeling he’s not going tonight.
