What did you think of the speech? Every time Bush gives one of these speeches, I find myself agreeing with almost everything he says. It was a good speech. It was probably forgettable and uninspiring though since it’s a lame duck year. It certainly did not compare to the Axis of Evil speech. Regardless of the President giving the speech, the opposing side always looks completely ridiculous and childish when they refuse to applaud and sit there sulking instead. The Governor of Kansas gave a ridiculous rebuttal. It’s hard to follow a live speech with all that pomp and circumstance and not sound disappointing. The “response” is a stupid idea anyway probably contrived by the media to create controversy.
