CNN Republican Debate

McCain looks like a doddering old fool insisting again and again that Romney wanted to set a timetable for troop withdrawals when it is very clear that Romney never said that at all. Nobody on the panel or in the audience could believe that McCain wouldn’t let it go. The best line? Romney says, “How did you become the expert on my position?”

Ron Paul scores points by wondering why the candidates are arguing about who said what, when when there are far more important issues to discuss. Huckabee is feeling left out. His whining about not getting enough questions is really unbecoming.

I’m wondering whether Giuliani supporters will care who he wants them to support.

McCain got a nasty dig/insult in on Romney on almost every question. Romney was a perfect gentleman all night.

Huckabee whined most of the night but had a great finish answer the Reagan endorsement question.

Ron Paul was Ron Paul.

  1. There was a time–long ago–that I admired McCain for what he went thru in VN. Now, he’s just irritating! That comment sounded like the best he could do and I was glad Romney asked him that question! He says something nasty and then chuckles to himself–I just want to scream….SHUT-UP!!
