The Senate unanimously confirmed General Petraeus without a dissenting vote. That was a scant few months ago in January. In June, Senator Harry Reid denounced “the surge” as a failure before it had really started. Now Democrats in Congress have been pretty much calling General Petraeus a pawn of the White House pre-empting his report today. Questioning the credibility and honor of a four star general that they all voted for is despicable. They had no intention of ever supporting his efforts. In fact, liberal democrats cannot support any effort our military is ever involved in no matter what the cause. I am just sick and tired of our own citizens/leaders (I use the term leaders loosely) rooting for our failure to advance a political agenda.
