Sox rookie throws no-hitter

Red Sox rookie, Clay Buchholz, who was just called up yesterday, threw the first rookie no-hitter in Red Sox history and in just his 2nd Major League start.  I watched this game and Buchholz was outstanding.  Sox won 10-0 and are scoring runs again. Rookie sensation Jacoby Ellsbury was also called up and played well.  With those rookies up and J.D. Drew hurt, I’m feeling very good about the remainder of the season, especially when Manny comes back.  I can’t wait until the rematch with the Yankees at Fenway.

  1. Yeah, I saw the highlights on ESPN and that “kid” looks like he’s about TWELVE years old! Goodness gracious…but good for him!
