The Red Sox have just a 2 game lead in the loss column now. Eric Gagne blew it again. Walked in the tying run before losing the game completely. We traded rookie Kason Gabbard who was 4-0 for this bozo. Why he was even in the game with a 2-1 lead is baffling. We have been saving Jonathan Papelbon’s arm all year so he would still be strong at the end of the year. THESE ARE THE MOMENTS WE WERE SAVING HIM FOR! Tito, you are famous for sticking with players when they are struggling, Pedroia, Lugo, J.D. Drew, etc. and usually your faith and patience pays off, but come on, it’s the end of the season. There is no time left to build up Gagne’s confidence. DO NOT PUT HIM ON THE PLAYOFF ROSTER! I am reliving every last minute failure the Red Sox have ever had. I feel a panic attack coming on.
