Hope Solo, the U.S Women’s Soccer goalie who hadn’t let up a goal in 3 straight matches, was benched today against Brazil in favor of 36 year old Brianna Scurry and she’s none too happy about it. The U.S. lost in the semi-finals to Brazil 4-0. Scurry was less than spectacular but was also put in a very tough position of starting in such a big game with no recent game experience. No U.S. women will be ripping their shirts off this year in celebration. Say goodbye to coach Greg Ryan.
