I didn’t watch the MTV VMA show last night but I caught it at mtv.com this morning. Poor Britney. She has made a mess of herself recently and has the worst judgment of almost anyone I know. She wasn’t fat as many have said, but it wasn’t a good performance. Doing this show in her underwear? Bad decision. It’s time for her to re-invent herself. She marketed herself mostly on sex appeal and let’s face it, at 26 with two kids, she’s not 18 anymore. It’s time to start dressing like an adult. I can’t imagine someone actually convinced her this was a good idea. She performed as though she was completely embarrassed. She put no effort into the dancing or lip syncing.
America roots for the successful to fail. It has become a national past time to try and tear down everyone to our own level so we can feel better about ourselves rather than aspiring to achieve that success ourselves. Personally I like to see the fallen rise again. She’s no role model, but never should have been anyways.
