Taleban militants in Afghanistan say they have freed two women from among the 21 South Korean hostages they have been holding for more than three weeks.
A Taleban spokesman, Yousuf Ahmad, told the BBC the women were sick and had been released as a “sign of goodwill”.
Goodwill. I feel like vomiting. Was killing the other two hostages a sign of goodwill too? I have an idea. Every time the Taliban sends a “spokesman” or “negotiator” out into public, we kill them. How’s that for a negotiation tactic? I’m pretty sure negotiating with evil never pays. One thing I’ve never understood, the media seems to be fixated with constantly changing the spelling of our enemies’ names. Can they just not get it right or is this supposed to make them seem less dangerous like it’s not really the same group or person? Osama, Usama, Taliban, Taleban, etc..
