To be fair, I did not know she was a lesbian at the time. I just found out this week. This was my ex-fiancee who I was engaged to prior to meeting my wife. When we broke up, she was pretty rough on me about all the reasons why she was leaving, but she forgot to mention this really important reason. I told her at the end that I never completely trusted her but I was never quite sure why.

She was outed by an online newspaper. I saw her name pop up on my instant messenger as being online, so out of curiosity I Googled her to see what she was up to. Her name appeared in an obituary so I just had to read it. It turns out that a woman had died and was survived by her daughter and her daughter’s “partner” who just happened to be my ex-fiancee. It did not take much effort to confirm that this was indeed her based on where they said she and her partner lived. A search on Moboni.com shows her name, age, relatives and where she has lived. Plus there are only about three people in the country with her name. It’s fortunate she lives in Massachusetts given her current lifestyle.

I couldn’t believe what I was reading. I never saw this coming. But it makes sense. After me, she certainly could never be with another man. Or at least that’s the story I’m sticking with. My wife is enjoying this story a lot and it may be a while before the teasing stops. Funny, my “ex” once mentioned to me that if she were a lesbian, she would be a “lipstick lesbian” and not butch. Guess I missed that hint.

I wasn’t sure what to think at first. Then I thought about it, and I realized, how many guys can say they were with a lesbian? There’s one item I got to check off my list that I never thought would happen.
