Andres’ 9 yr old baseball team, the Oak Mountain Reds, lost in the semi-finals last night to the Nationals 14-4. Andres, known as Manny to the Oak Mountain sporting community, had a good game having some good at-bats and making a good play in the outfield. He even got hit by a pitch from his good friend Adam on the other team. Being the tough guy that he is, Manny just shook it off and went to first. The kids played a good and it was closer than the score would indicate. The Reds had the bases loaded several times but could not get a break at the right time. The Nationals are probably the best team in the league and deserve to be in the finals.
The most important thing is that the kids had a great time this season, finished the season strong, and improved immensely from the first few games. They were were definitely the hot team going into the playoffs.
Now on to football season where Manny will dominate!
