Darth Clemens cannot be turned from the Dark Side

The Emperor used the force to summon Roger Clemens to the Evil Empire and Clemens responded, “Yes, my Master.”

Young Jedi Master Theo Epstein thought there was still some good in Darth Clemens and that he could be turned from the dark side. Unfortunately, it appears that Clemens will wear the dreaded Yankee cap to the Hall of Fame.

Roger Clemens is probably the greatest pitcher of all time and he pitched great for the Red Sox. If it wasn’t for former GM Dan Duquette, we’d probably still have him on our team. He would have made a fine 5th starter…

Alas, it wasn’t meant to be. Just like watching Evander Holyfield box way past his prime, it will be sad to see The Rocket limp into the Hall of Fame after get hammered this season by Big Papi, Manny Ramirez, J.D. Drew, and the rest of the first place Red Sox. I mean how much longer can he be a dominant pitcher? Sure it’s easy to strike guys out in the National League playing for the Astros, but there will be a time where he no longer has it anymore. The way the Yankees seem to be going this year, his luck may have run out.

Update:
Hat Tip goes to reader Michael who gave me a link to Highbrid Nation with the “real” reason Clemens picked the Yankees. Clemens and Pettitte would probably feel more comfortable with Jeter and A-Rod.
