Iraqis Protesting Safety Wall

In an effort to try and quell the sectarian violence, the U.S. military is constructing a wall to separate a Sunni neighborhood of Baghdad from the rest of the city. According to CNN, an estimated 7,000 (divide by 10 to get a more realistic number) demonstrators took to the street to protest the wall. Grumblings were heard throughout the crowd.

“How will I be able to get to market and blowup hundreds of Shiites?”

The ACLU is considering a anti-discrimination lawsuit to allow for the freedom of expression of all suicide and car bombers even though technically the U.S. Constitution does not apply to Iraq. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg is considering a temporary injunction against the Iraqi government deferring to the infinite wisdom of the U.N. instead. She has proposed that a committee comprised of Venezuela, Cuba, Syria, and China be allowed to decide the wall’s fate.
