San Francisco values at the Super Bowl

Janet Jackson is probably pretty mad this morning. The Super Bowl should be family friendly and she was condemned very harshly for her wardrobe malfunction. Go Daddy was forced to make 5 or 6 commercials before one was deemed appropriate for the Super Bowl audience and that one showed the Go Daddy Girl for a split second. But Snickers was able to show their commercial with a man-kiss. The house I was at watching the game went completely silent and my 8 year old son was stunned and confused by what he just saw. Wasn’t there anyone at Snickers who said maybe this wasn’t such a good idea? Were the Super Bowl officials too obsessed with screening the Go Daddy Girl that they didn’t look at the Snickers commercial or did they actually see no problem with it? It was a sad attempt at humor too. I bet only the advertising agency that created it found it funny. I wonder how many people laughed when they saw it and I wonder how many people felt uncomfortable. Why does one get the feeling that someone is advancing an agenda rather than trying to sell candy bars? This morning Fox News is reporting that Snickers is no longer marketing their candy to children under 12 due to “health concerns”. Well that’s good since I’m not sure too many parents would buy it for their kids. Apparently Snickers is not marketing their candy toward straight men or families either.

Best commercial? K-Fed believe it or not.
