North Korea kept in the dark

I love this picture Drudge has. Good use of nuclear power, North Korea.

It’s from this article in the Daily Mail. Donald Rumsfield released this satellite photo contrasting the electrical use of South Korea and North Korea. Kim Jong-il turns the lights off at 9pm in the entire country because it cannot afford the electricity despite having nuclear power. Note the one dot of light in North Korea. That’s Pyongyang where Kim Jong-il happens to live. Such a benevolent leader.

According to liberal rules of engagement, we cannot attack a country just because a leader runs his country like a prison and is cruel to his citizens and they are suffering. And we cannot attack a country if we suspect or know they have weapons of mass destruction that they have not used against us. Since their nuclear test seems to have failed recently, we must naturally assume that he does not have these weapons, never had these weapons, and does not intend on getting these weapons instead of relying on worldwide intelligence and Kim Jong-il’s own boasting. See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.
