This sounds like a typical Liberal that I must be somehow less intelligent (an idiot as you say) or less enlightened if I don't agree with you. That strategy is probably not included Dale Carnegie's, "How to Win Friends and Influence People". I feel sorry for you because you must be very lonely and very angry.

I am currently in the military and I can vouch for Kerry, it's full of stupid people!! Of course this country is full of stupid people civilian or military. If you attempt to argue against that, then you are probably one of them.

Hey Anonymous (if that's your real name)

I do not believe that Kerry would want to intentionally insult the troops in public. That would not be good for his political aspirations. But I do believe that he loathes the military. He has made many derogatory remarks about our soldiers in the past comparing them to murderers and terrorists. In 1972, he was opposed to an all volunteer army while running for the House.

Kerry said,
"I am convinced a volunteer army would be an army of the poor and the black and the brown," Kerry wrote. "We must not repeat the travesty of the inequities present during Vietnam. I also fear having a professional army that views the perpetuation of war crimes as simply 'doing its job.'

"Equally as important, a volunteer army with our present constitutional crisis takes accountability away from the president and put the people further from control over military activities," he wrote.

I wish you'd show me the entire clip or the entire context. I did an extensive search and I could not locate it.

Supposedly, this is what he intended to say,

"I can't overstress the importance of a great education. Do you know where you end up if you don't study, if you aren't smart, if you're intellectually lazy? You end up getting US stuck in a war in Iraq."

Yes that was a real funny "joke", don't ya think?

So his campaign managers were able to come up with an explanation 2 days later. This does not actually prove that he actually intended to say that. But let's just say that this was actually what he intended to say. So instead of insulting the troops, he insulted the commander-in-chief who was elected twice by our citizens. A Senator insulting the President is just as pathetic as insulting the troops. There is no honor in that. The politics of hate and anger is very dangerous. It's too bad Democrats have to resort to these tactics since they can't run on ideas or issues.

Do any of you know what the context of that speech were, or are you just buying into the GOP spin like so many other ignorant republicans. It's really insulting to yourselves and even the troops to believe that Kerry would purposefully insult them. If you had seen the full clip and seen the entire context of his statements then it wouldnt take someone with a college degree to realize that he was talking about Bush. I myself have a best friend that i consider a brother in the military and i never once thought that Kerry was insulting him or his fellow military personel. So if you just want to pull a blanket over your eyes and believe that from this edited clip that Kerry was insulting the troops then go ahead. If that is what gives you hope that the GOP might just keep their tyrannical reign of Congress then the best of luck to you. Keep grasping for those elusive straws. We all have dreams.

You are quick on the uptake, Scott!

John Kerry disgraces our military like a liberal, gold-digging pig that he is. Unfortunately, about 40 percent of Americans probably agree with him.

Mick

sadbastards.wordpress.com
