Pee-Wee Football has begun! Practice for 8 year olds under 90 lbs is four nights a week starting at 5:30. Some nights are 90 to 100 degree heat wearing pads and helmets. Kids and parents watching the practice are getting bitten by yellow jackets, ants, fleas, and mosquitos. Dads anxiously pace the sidelines trying to give the occasional words of encouragement and advice and sometimes we get to actually hold pads for our kids to crash into. What makes it all worth it? This clip from tonight’s practice.
