It’s not easy being green, but apparently it is easy to be a condescending hypocrite.
I embrace the idea of a “decent and affordable” car/truck that does not run on gas, but it has nothing to do with Al Gore nor the environment. I simply do not want lunatic terrorists to have any source of funding from oil producing Middle Eastern nations.
At this time I would like to express my view on drilling for oil in this country. Yes, I understand it would reduce some dependence on foreign oil, but if world supplies will disappear in 50 years or so, I want to make sure we are the last country to have any oil, not the first to run out. Until we have alternatives to oil, we should drain the rest of the world’s supplies first. I consider it somewhat similar to Reagan’s model for destroying the Soviet economy by out-spending them.
