Not that I don’t totally agree with you, however according to the citco web site they only own 50%

In September, 1986, Southland sold a 50 percent interest in CITGO to Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. PDVSA acquired the remaining half of CITGO in January, 1990. With a secure and ample supply of crude oil, CITGO quickly became a major force in the energy arena.

BOYCOTT CITGO!

The man puts people in jail for talking bad about him, and then comes to our country to talk bad about our president. Is our president allowed to go to Venezuela or Iran and insult their president? And what would be the repecussions to those who would laugh or clap at the insults. Weather your support Bush or not, you should not support a dictator who comes in and exploits our freedom of speech to insult our leaders. Chavez is an embarassment to Venezuela, and any American (democrat or republican) who supports his comments is an embarassment to the USA.

Venezuelan president calls Bush the devil

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez took his verbal battle with the United States to the floor of the U.N. General Assembly on Wednesday, calling President Bush “the devil.”
“The devil came here yesterday,” Chavez said, referring to Bush’s address Tuesday. “He came here talking as if he were the owner of the world.”
The leftist leader, who has joined Iran in opposing U.S. influence, accused Washington of “domination, exploitation and pillage of peoples of the world.”
“We appeal to the people of the United States and the world to halt this threat, which is like a sword hanging over our head,” he said.

Nice isn’t it? If you’re like me, you search for the lowest gasoline prices in town. Normally, I’ll find the local CITGO has the best price on the gallon and I will top off the tank… Now, it’s time for me to reconsider this. Why? Because the communist dictator Hugo Chavez heads up the government owned petroleum company called CITGO. It was frightening to hear the laughter and applause he received at the U.N. today for mocking the U.S. and our President. It looked more like a high school debate club than a gathering of the leaders of the world. Chavez took his big moment in the spotlight to act ridiculous and immature. I wish I knew how the scum of the Earth haved gained so much credibility with civilized nations.

Scott, that was a perfect retort to a misinformed anti-Bush-at- whatever-the-cost individual. Hugo spent the morning in the best nation in the world, using our free airways, to tell how he and his brethren from Iran (in his opinion, the good people) were going to do away with the United States of America. Can you imagine for a minute a world without the US? Just think about the next sunami, next earthquake, the next Hitler (although I hate to give them the audience, Hugo and the blowfish from Iran). What could they be thinking.

Thanks for writing. All opinions are welcome. I’d just like to point out that Hitler made the trains run on time and the Germany loved him. Anyone can look good with the right P.R. machine. You have to look at what he says, what his philosophy is, and who his friends are. History teaches us the dangers of making deals with the devil, yet we seem to continue to make this mistake again and again. Make no mistake, Chavez is an enemy of the United States and would like nothing more than to see our downfall.

Yes Scott, Citgo is 100 percent owned by a communist dictator who is trying to take down America. Stalin said “They will sell us the rope we will hang them with.” This is far worse, we are buying the rope Chavez is using to spread Stalinism throughout Central America.
