Beth at MY Vast Right Wing Conspiracy has a posting showing how a British company, MrModchips, refused to accept an order from an Israeli man name Asaf Linden. Even though they have a UK domain name, their address on the website is Peruksa 13 Klong Sam Phantum Thani Rangsit Thailand. Beth got this information from FriendsOfMicronesia. The Israeli gentleman sent an email inquiring why his order was canceled:

I’ve ordered a Qoobchip Pro and the order’s status is currently VOID, why is that?

MrModchips reply:

You are viewed as a fraud risk and it is company policy not to support people whos government kill innocent civilians and children.

Mr Linden sent this futile reponse to MrModchips:

1. I never killed anyone in my life.
2. I am a British passport holder (and would be happy to send you a photocopy of my passport).
3. If we are being political, I seem to remember a few children dying in Iraq and the United Kingdom fighting there. Right?
4. Israel was attacked first by Lebanon but I don’t seem to recall when the UK was last attacked by Iraq or am I forgetting something?

Mixing your business with politics is not a good idea, I presume you made a mistake and regret that but if not, tell me about it and I will pass your comments to the British Department of Trade and Industry.

Scott McNair of Auckland, NZ, a reader of FriendsOfMicronesia, sent this email to MrModchips to stick for Mr. Linden:

I sent an email to this crowd and this is the smart arse reaction I got - I doubt that it is an ‘automated response’

“Just like to say that if the reports about your cancelling a customers order based upon an apparent personal stance you have taken about the Israeli government’s actions are correct then - this in itself is stupid. Its unfair and akin to “collective punishment” which I’d gather you’d also be accusing this fellow’s government of commiting too against the Palestinians. How is he to blame for what’s going on?
For goodness sakes he’s a (was) CUSTOMER wanting to spend money with you.
Stop moralising - you’re no good at it - SELL CHIPS INSTEAD!
