The U.S. still has not scored an official goal by themselves in this World Cup. Italy must have taken pity on them because Italy scored against itself in their 1 - 1 draw. They did look better than they did against the Czech Republic and who would have thought they wouldn’t lose to Italy with only 9 players? Did anyone else find it comforting that the referee did not officiate in the 2002 World Cup because he was under suspension for corruption?
Ghana will be no cakewalk. They beat the Czech Republic and it was no fluke.
Nice to see Iran going home early, especially after losing to Mexico in Nuremberg in the first game. Of course it would have been more poetic to have Israel beat Iran in Nuremberg.
