I can’t believe the first comment I got from Anonymous. Please read it and let me know what you think. These are the people who frighten me. Sometimes I think our own citizens are our worst enemy.

  1. I don’t agree with you.

Now, I detest Moussaoui as much as anyone, and am convinced that he is a dangerous terrorist who really hates Americans and will try to harm us again if he ever gets the opportunity.

However, it also seems likely that Moussaoui wasn’t really involved with the 9/11 attacks. 3 of the jurors have indicated this. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has also stated that Moussaoui wasn’t selected for the 9/11 attacks. If Moussaoui really had any role in the 9/11 attacks, wouldn’t he have arrived in the US much earlier ? Also, wouldn’t he have known the other hijackers ? The case against Moussaoui’s involvement in 9/11 hasn’t been proven. He got convicted primarily because he was the one who said he was guilty. And now he is denying that.

Moussaoui seems like a person who came to the US with the intention of carrying out terrorist attacks, but who wasn’t really involved with the 9/11 attacks, and when those attacks did occur, he sought to link himself to them to gain “fame/notoriety” as that was his definition of success.

And now, when he says that he wasn’t really involved with 9/11, it seems more plausible. After all, he has nothing to lose by lying at this stage….he already knows that there is no way that he would ever be a free man again. He wants a re-trial and he should get it, because there is a strong possibility that he is right this time. To deny him justice would be our failing as a society. Isn’t Moussaoui a collateral damage of the emotions of 9/11 ?

  2. He confessed to it! You are incredibly uninformed and naive. Do you just make this stuff up? He made many references to his involvment in 9/11, other hijackers, Al Qaeda, and Usama bin Laden.

    You said,
“Now, I detest Moussaoui as much as anyone, and am convinced that he is a dangerous terrorist who really hates Americans and will try to harm us again if he ever gets the opportunity.”

Hmmm. You admit he’s a dangerous terrorist who hates us and will try to harm us again. Again? I thought you said he wasn’t involved. You can’t seem to make up your own mind.

Here are some facts to educate you.

    On March 27, 2006,
Moussaoui said he testified March 27 he was supposed to hijack a fifth plane on Sept. 11, 2001, and fly it into the White House.

Other news clips about how innocent he is:

Moussaoui taunted the United States once again Thursday, as he has done during various outbursts throughout his trial.

“We will come back one day. You will never get him. God curse America. God save Usama bin Laden. You will never get him,” he said after he walked into the courtroom flashing a victory sign.

“You wasted an opportunity to learn why people like me, like (9/11 hijacker) Mohamed Atta, have so much hatred of you. … If you don’t want to hear, you will feel” pain.

Good Grief! I hope you’re comfortable with your head down in the sand.

  3. I forgot to mention his good buddy Shoebomber Richard Ried.

    From My Way:

His testimony started in familiar territory. He denied that he was supposed to be the so-called missing 20th hijacker of Sept. 11. He testified he was not intended to be a fifth terrorist on United Airlines Flight 93 that crashed into a Pennsylvania field - the only plane hijacked by four instead of five terrorists.

    Then came the shock.
Defense attorney Gerald Zerkin: “Before your arrest, were you scheduled to pilot a plane as part of the 9/11 operation?”

Moussaoui: “Yes. I was supposed to pilot a plane to hit the White House.”

He said he didn’t know details of the other hijackings set for that day except that planes were to be flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Center.

Zerkin asked if he knew who else would be on his plane.

“Richard Reid. The other crew members were not definite,” Moussaoui replied, referring to a man he had met in the 1990s at London’s Finsbury Park mosque where Islamic fundamentalists recruited followers.

On Dec. 22, 2001, Reid was subdued by passengers aboard American Airlines Flight 63 from Paris to Miami when he attempted to detonate a bomb in his shoe. That plane landed safely in Boston. Reid later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life in prison.
