The French just don’t get it. It doesn’t matter if the subject is terrorism or capitalism, they just don’t understand how the world works. Because rioting is apparently more effective than non-violent protest in convincing people, the youth of France are rioting because the French government wants to let companies fire employees younger than 26. The government feel this will greatly improve the unemployment rate which currently stands at 23%.
I wonder why the unemployment rate is so high? Could it be the socialist/communist society they live in? Imagine having to actually work hard or be fired.

FOXNews.com – U.S. & World News – French Riot Police Try to Quell Paris Protest:
“Students and labor unions say the law will erode France’s cherished workplace protections. Set to take effect next month, it would let companies fire employees younger than 26 without reason in the first two years on the job.
The police were deployed in Paris and other French cities, as the authorities feared a repeat of the violence at a march last week when suburban youths attacked peaceful demonstrators and officers.”
A union official said the protest against Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin’s CPE First Job Contract was one of the biggest since France’s Fifth Republic was founded in 1958. Police put the turnout at 900,000, French television said.Villepin hopes the CPE will reduce youth unemployment from almost 23 percent, but union and student leaders say it will create a generation of “throwaway workers” because it makes it easier to dismiss employees under 26 in a trial two-year period.
“We’re demanding the complete withdrawal of the CPE. You can’t treat people like slaves. Giving all the power to the bosses is going too far,” said Gregoire de Oliviera, a 21-year-old student in Paris.
Classic communist thinking, Gregoire. France has indoctrinated all its students with the entitlement mindset and now it is coming back to haunt them. Somehow this is probably America’s fault.
