April 2008 was the coolest April in 11 years! This despite Gore’s claims this week that global warming caused the cyclone in Myanmar as if cyclones didn’t exist before cars were invented. In fact April’s temperature was a FULL degree lower than the average for the entire century.
Gore is running a cult and you are all brainwashed sheep. Go ahead, buy his carbon credits.
Clinton said in a USA Today interview, citing an article by The Associated Press which “found how Senator Obama’s support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me… There’s a pattern emerging here.”
Basicially Hillary is saying that Obama does not have support from blue collar, white working-class voters. For this, Hillary is called a race baiter even though she may be factually correct. If Obama pointed out that Hillary does not have the support of black voters, would that make Obama a race baiter or a truth teller? Does this also make exit poll takers race baiters for tracking the same data?
So who is really playing the race card? Hillary because she is trying to make a case for electability or Obama because he is trying to silence her?
I just love all this turmoil.
There’s a job opening in Iraq, but be forewarned, the position has really poor job security. The leader of al-Qaida in Iraq, Abu Ayyub al-Masri, was arrested in the northern city of Mosul. These guys don’t seem to last long. We get them all because WE’RE WINNING THE WAR! I guess it’s a good thing to capture him alive for intel, but part of me wouldn’t mind him being in thousands of pieces. I’m going to recommend that Abu start talking fast before it’s time for his bath. He looks like a little bitch. I bet he cracks in under 20 seconds.

The annual list is out and People Magazine has a blind person in charge. Yes I know this is shallow and superficial but they created it, not me. However, I am able to appreciate a beautiful woman myself. Kate Hudson, who I think is absolutely gorgeous, made the cover but some of the other picks mystify me. Oprah Winfrey is on the list. There is no one on this planet that would think Oprah is beautiful. It’s not called “The Most Beautiful On The Inside List”. This is a supposed to be a completely superficial list based on someone’s outward appearance. Drew Barrymore, who made last year’s cover, and Rumer Willis are on the list. Drew has her cute moments but they are a bit less frequent these days. There are certainly far more beautiful women out there. Rumer Willis as a friend told me looks like Demi Moore after taking steroids. Where is Elisabeth Hasselbeck? Where is Kat McPhee? Where is Martha MacCallum? Victoria Beckham made it over the Victoria Secret Angels? Somebody is definitely getting kickbacks.
Beautiful?? Keep in mind, this is probably the best picture they could find of her.
There are two ways Hillary can become President.
First, is to become Vice President. That always increases the odds that one day you will become President. The only way that will happen is if she tells Obama that she’ll drop out now if she’s VP but if she isn’t chosen, she will do everything she can to ruin the convention and ensure he loses in November.
The second way is to simply endorse John McCain who will be a one term President and she can run again in four years. If Obama fails this year, he’s pretty much done forever
I just returned from the Memorial Service for Paul Perry. He was an internationally renowned surgeon and is the father of one of my friends at work. He led a very impressive life. Although I did not know him personally, there is no doubt he will be dearly missed.

PERRY, DR. C. PAUL, M.D. Dr. Paul Perry entered into His Father’s kingdom on Saturday, May 3, 2008, after a valiant fight. Born in Mobile, Alabama on August 13, 1945, where he graduated from Murphy High School and met his bride for the past 43 years. He graduated from the University of Alabama with Honors, and then graduated from University of Alabama School of medicine in 1971. He served his country in the Air Force, and then began his medical practice in Birmingham, Alabama in 1978. For the past 30 years, he dedicated his practice to not only healing the physical body, but also ministering to the spiritual health of all his patients and to the preservation of the sanctity of life. In 1996 he co-founded the International Pelvic Pain Society, where he served as President and Chairman of the Board. His contributions to this specialized medical field include numerous articles, publications, and textbook chapters, an international lecturer on pelvic pain and the design of an instrument used in the diagnosis of chronic pelvic pain. He was a member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church, where he served as elder. He was a leader and shepherd for many in the community and his Godly wisdom was valued by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Suzanne Noel Perry; sons, Jonathan Noel Perry (Stephanie), Joshua Paul Perry (Erin) of Birmingham; daughter, Elizabeth Ellen Perry also of Birmingham; his grandchildren, Jonathan Stone Perry, age 9, Davis Paul Perry, age 6, and Ashton Grace Perry, age 2. A private family graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating the life of Dr. Paul Perry will be held Tuesday, May 6, at 1 p.m. at Briarwood Presbyterian Church.

Shepard Smith just announced that there are strong rumors that McCain is seriously considering Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal as VP choice. Now that would excite me and would probably excite much of the conservative base. Shep just interviewed Jindal who of course would not answer direct questions about whether he would accept the position. He gave the standard answer of “I don’t think he’ll ask, but I’m honored to be considered.” But he did say that you don’t turn down the pretty girl for the prom before she asks. That’s not to say that you would mistake John McCain for a cheerleader.
I thought she did a lot better than I expected in terms of holding her own with O’Reilly. Far better than that chickensh** Obama could do. Of course she still scares the crap out of me especially when she said she could raise income tax at least 6.5% on incomes over $250,000. O’Reilly flat out called her a socialist and he’s right. She’s wrong on just about every issue. Listen for yourself.

Drudge has a link to a CNN video about waterboarding. It shows an ad created by Amnesty International opposing the use of waterboarding. There are all sorts of graphic warnings about how disturbing it is to watch. I watched it and first of all I wasn’t disturbed. Secondly, I’m still not convinced it’s torture. It lasts from a few seconds to a few minutes and causes no physical harm at all and I’m sure no lasting phsychological harm. Our own soldiers undergo this as part of their training. It does appear as though it is quite stressful on the person on the receiving end, but when you think about the very select few scumbags they have used it on, such as Khalid Sheik Mohammed, I don’t lose a minute of sleep over it. Does the suffering of waterboarding compare to the suffering of people burning to death, jumping out of a skyscraper, or having their head cut off on film? If someone wants to kill thousands of Americans, I give you the green light to stop it anyway you can.
